Claude Sonnet 5.5 lands on AWS as demos flood X
Anthropic's official account posted a thread of demos built with the new model within hours of release, as AWS made Sonnet 5.5 available on Bedrock the same day.
Anthropic's @claudeai account posted a thread of demos built with Claude Sonnet 5.5 within hours of Monday's release. They included a JavaScript animation of dinosaur history and a fall-foliage simulator, each run from the same prompt against the older Sonnet 5 for comparison.

Amazon Web Services said separately that Sonnet 5.5 is now available on Amazon Bedrock's Global CRIS inference profile and on the Claude Platform on AWS, positioning it as a cheaper, faster model for well-scoped coding and document work. AWS recommends pairing it with Claude Opus 5.5, which it says should handle judgment-heavy tasks instead.
Individual builders posted their own results in reply to the thread. One used a 60-by-46-pixel emoji to generate a 3D-printable model. Another built a working flowchart tool styled like doodles on graph paper, with shapes that could be dragged and connected on the canvas.

Anthropic's own release said Sonnet 5.5 generates outputs more than 30% faster than Sonnet 5 and costs up to 30% less per task, a claim reported earlier Monday. The demos posted since then are the first outside evidence of what the model does in practice, credited to individual builders rather than to Anthropic.
