Meta launches Enterprise Platform, hires MongoDB's CEO to run it
Mark Zuckerberg says the new business line will sell Meta's Muse agent and AI tools to companies, led by Chirantan Desai, who was chief executive of MongoDB until today.
Meta is launching a new Meta Enterprise Platform to sell its AI tools to businesses. Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg called it "the next major pillar" of the company's business.

Zuckerberg named Chirantan "CJ" Desai to run the effort. Desai, MongoDB's chief executive and president, becomes Meta's new Chief Enterprise Platform Officer and will report to Zuckerberg. Bloomberg reported that Meta tapped Desai to lead the new AI platform for enterprise customers, and that MongoDB's shares fell after the announcement.

The platform will offer Meta's technology stack to businesses and developers at first, Zuckerberg said. That includes the Muse AI agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. He said Desai had led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including as president and chief operating officer, before joining Meta.
Zuckerberg framed the move as a bet on selling AI to businesses, not just consumers. He said Meta already serves billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses at scale. The enterprise push will draw on Meta's "advanced models, leading agents, large-scale infrastructure," he said, built up through years of working with businesses.
