CFTC to open Frontier Forum roundtables with session on agentic finance
The derivatives regulator's Innovation Task Force will hold its first public roundtable on artificial intelligence and agentic finance on 28 October, the agency said.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said on Monday that its Innovation Task Force will host a series of public roundtables called the Frontier Forum. The first session, on artificial intelligence and agentic finance, is set for 28 October.
The commission described the series as a venue for builders and leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss responsible innovation while protecting market integrity. That description is the agency's. No agenda, speaker list or registration process has been published.
Chairman Michael Selig said in the statement that the technologies transforming American markets are advancing fast. He said the agency must engage directly with the people who build and use them. The commission gave no further detail on who will attend.
The public may nominate speakers by email, the commission said, though it added that in-person places may be limited by security requirements. Details on the agenda, the speakers and registration are to be announced later.
