Tender Claws builds AI game for Meta glasses
Body Proxy has players complete about 100 odd tasks while an AI watches through Ray-Ban Meta glasses and judges their performance in real time, UploadVR reported.
The studio Tender Claws released Body Proxy, a location-based game, UploadVR reported. Players wear Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses while an AI agent watches and judges their attempts at roughly 100 randomized real-world tasks. The AI also narrates the experience as it unfolds. Onlookers can watch a live feed of avatars and performance scores on a nearby screen.
He described how the AI evaluates whether a task was completed using physical objects around the player. Each session ends with a generated video report analyzing the player's performance. Co-director Danny Cannizzaro told UploadVR that everything the user does happens "within the context of this narrative experience, in which they take on a role."
Cannizzaro and Samantha Gorman co-direct Tender Claws, the studio behind the VR title Stranger Things VR. Body Proxy won the SXSW 2026 XR Experience Jury Award, and organizers selected it for the TIFF market this year, according to UploadVR.
Touring plans extend into next year, he said, though the studio has not announced a public release date or price for a wider audience. Cannizzaro said the studio is building a version "for free-roaming across a variety of spaces."
