ComfyUI opens its Comfy Agent to every Comfy Cloud user

Comfy says its in-app agent plans, builds and fixes workflows on the canvas, is free to try on Comfy Cloud, and reaches the desktop app in a few weeks.

Comfy said Comfy Agent is now available to everyone in Comfy Cloud. In an X post on 1 October, the company said the agent "plans, builds, and fixes ComfyUI workflows right on your canvas," and that a version for Comfy Desktop is coming in a few weeks. The post carries a short demo video.

A launch post by Comfy staff Jo Zhang, Christian Byrne and Kishore Shimikeri says users describe what they want in plain language and the agent builds the workflow while they keep editing. Comfy says it sees the assets on the canvas and helps with debugging. It supports up to five parallel chats with history.

Users can also write public or private skills. One example request in the post is "update this same generation to compare 3 more video models." Another asks for 20 on-brand ad variants of a product photo in 4 aspect ratios. Comfy describes the agent as free to try and says it draws on the Comfy Credits users already hold.

The post describes the agent as a beta under active development. Comfy's documentation, as we read it, says the desktop version will work with a user's own GPU, models and custom nodes. All of this is Comfy's description, and we have not found independent tests of how well the agent builds workflows.
