Ex‑Dojo chip startup nears $10 billion valuation, Information says
DensityAI is in advanced talks to raise hundreds of millions of dollars and has told investors that AWS would buy its chips if they hit performance targets.
DensityAI, the chip startup set up by former leaders of Tesla's Dojo programme, is in advanced talks to raise hundreds of millions of dollars at a $10 billion valuation, The Information reported late on Thursday. No other outlet has the story, and DensityAI has not commented publicly.
The company has told potential investors it has an agreement with Amazon Web Services under which AWS would buy its chips if they meet certain performance requirements, according to the report. Andreessen Horowitz has been in discussions to lead the round. Neither AWS nor Andreessen Horowitz has confirmed either detail.
Both claims rest on what DensityAI has told investors, which is a company account of its own prospects rather than a contract anyone outside has seen. The report does not describe the performance conditions attached to the AWS agreement, and it does not say how much of the round investors have committed.
Tesla shut Dojo, its in-house training supercomputer programme, in August 2025, and former leaders of that programme went on to found DensityAI. A $10 billion valuation would be a steep mark for a company a year old with no shipped part on the public record.
