xAI's Grok 4.7 lands on Amazon Bedrock

xAI's Grok 4.7 is now available on Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services said. Bedrock customers can reach the model through its Converse, Chat Completions and Responses APIs.

The model offers a 500,000-token context window that accepts text and images, with reasoning effort configurable across four levels, from low to "xhigh," AWS said. xAI is positioning Grok 4.7 for coding, long-running agent tasks and professional knowledge work.

Independent testing firm Artificial Analysis found measurable gains in agentic knowledge work and coding compared with xAI's earlier models, according to the AWS post. Grok 4.7 uses roughly twice the output tokens to get there. Bedrock offers the model through three pricing tiers: Standard, a faster Priority tier, and Flex for lower-cost, non-urgent work.

The release adds Grok to a growing list of frontier models AWS has brought onto Bedrock this month, alongside Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5. Cloud providers increasingly compete on the range of models they offer rather than on a single house model.
