InstaCloud launches a serverless cloud that coding agents operate themselves
The Y Combinator-backed service lets Claude Code or Cursor deploy apps, branch whole environments including data, and pause for human approval on risky changes.
InstaCloud, built by Y Combinator-backed InsForge, is pitched as an "agent-native cloud" where a coding agent provisions and runs the apps it builds, according to the company's site. TestingCatalog posted a demo video on X on Tuesday. InstaCloud says it works with Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor, Kiro and OpenCode.

Services scale with traffic and drop to zero when idle, the company says. Agents can also branch an entire environment, data included, to test a change without touching production. Users approve critical changes, according to InstaCloud, whose docs describe a daemon that holds all credentials and gates every sensitive action.
The company also publishes an open-source runtime under the Apache-2.0 licence. Its README calls it a self-hostable platform on a single machine, with a Postgres database, S3-compatible storage and containers per project. It installs with a one-line shell script, and the repository showed only 6 stars when read on Tuesday.
The hosted service has a free tier and a freemium model, though the landing page does not list prices. No independent review has been published, so claims about scale-to-zero restart times of about two seconds and safe branching are the maker's own and have not been tested by anyone else.
