OpenCode offers Meituan's LongCat‑2.5 free for two weeks
The coding agent said Meituan's new 1.6 trillion-parameter model, aimed at long multi-step tasks, would run free for two weeks, with usual token pricing to follow.
OpenCode, the open-source coding agent, said it would offer free access to Meituan's newly launched LongCat-2.5-Preview model for two weeks. The 1.6-trillion-parameter system joins its lineup at no cost during that window.

Meituan said LongCat-2.5-Preview carries roughly 48 billion active parameters, a 1 million-token context window and native multimodal input, according to a post from the AI account MaxForAI. It pitched the model at long-running agent tasks across terminals, browsers, spreadsheets and design tools.
Standard pricing matches the earlier LongCat 2.0, MaxForAI said: $0.30 per million input tokens, $0.006 per million cached tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens. Meituan also credited existing users with 5 million free tokens to test the new model, the post said.
Meituan did not publish benchmark comparisons for the new model. The commentator teortaxesTex, who called the earlier LongCat 2.0 "completely hopeless" in his own tests despite its claimed benchmark parity, said the absence of published scores this round was notable.
