Meta opens early access for new Muse avatar, shopping tools

Meta opened early access to a new batch of Muse features first shown at its Connect conference. They include a video-chat avatar and deeper shopping integrations, the company said.
The rollout also adds an upgraded Mac app that can automate tasks on a user's computer, plus integration with Meta's AI glasses for voice requests, according to TechCrunch. To join, users ask Muse directly: "Can you let the Muse team know I want to be part of the Muse early access program?"
Rather than run a randomized beta, Meta said it is targeting people who already use several AI apps. The company is betting heavy users will surface more useful feedback than a general test group. It also posted a signup link on X to help requests reach the Muse team faster.
The expansion follows a turbulent week for Muse. The app topped app store charts after launch but also drew scrutiny when users found they could inspect the filesystem of the free cloud computer every account receives. Meta has not said how many people requested early access or when the new features will reach everyone.
