Meta brings its Muse AI agent to Instagram profiles
Meta's Alexandr Wang said users can now display their Muse AI agent on Instagram profiles, as TestingCatalog reports a dedicated screen-browsing tab and updated voice mode are coming next.
Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang said Sunday that users can now display their Muse AI companion on their Instagram profile. "You can now add your muse to your Instagram profile," Wang wrote on X. He added that people can "show off your superintelligent sidekick to all your friends."

TestingCatalog reported separately that Muse is getting a dedicated tab for browsing its virtual-machine screen. The tab would let users track what the agent is doing as it works. The outlet said Muse's web voice mode has also changed, now appearing as a voice-calling widget. Neither feature is public yet, and it was not clear when a wider rollout might follow.

Muse is Meta's consumer AI agent. The company introduced it at Meta Connect in late September as a chatbot that scans linked accounts for unclaimed funds, unused subscriptions and duplicate charges, TechCrunch reported. It operates through a phone app and a Tamagotchi-style wearable device, positioning it against products such as OpenAI's own consumer assistant.
The rollout comes as TechCrunch separately reported that Muse faces skepticism over Meta's ad-driven business model. Sean O'Kane, who tested the agent, said Meta "will make the argument that the more they know about you, the more accurate and interesting the ads will be." That tension remains unaddressed by the company, TechCrunch said.
