Developers say agents rebuilt Ocarina of Time in a week
The pair put the work at more than 500 hours of agent runtime, with no game engine and three frontier models doing the building.
Two developers posted a video early on Friday of a recreation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which they said three frontier models built from scratch over a week. Neither has published the code, and no one outside the two accounts appears to have run it.

Leon Lin, who posts as LexnLin, said the work took more than 500 hours of agent runtime and used no game engine. His post had 630 likes and about 47,000 views when read on Friday morning. A second account, ChrisGPT, posted the same video and had 314 likes.
ChrisGPT said the aim was to recreate the first demo video of Zelda and see what a week produced. Both posts named GPT-6 Astra, Fable 5.1 and Claude Opus 5.5 as the models used, and both said everything in the video was made from scratch.
Neither post said how the work was split between the three models, and neither linked a repository or a playable build. The claim that nothing came from an existing engine rests on the two accounts, and nobody else has checked it.
One reply asked which gameplay footage the models had been shown, and the developers had not answered by Friday morning. Another reply put the compute bill at $250, a figure neither developer confirmed. Both posts went up within six minutes of each other.
