Trump to host Anthropic's Amodei for first private dinner

Axios reported Saturday that President Trump plans to host Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei for a private White House dinner on Sunday, the pair's first one-on-one meeting.

Trump invited Amodei after the Anthropic chief missed last week's state dinner because of a scheduling conflict, according to the report. No other outlet had confirmed the account as of Saturday.

Axios did not say what the two men plan to discuss. The White House and Anthropic had not issued statements on the dinner as of Saturday afternoon.
