Wajo launches Fo, an AI agent that phones, emails and pays for errands

Wajo says Fo finished 71% of 104 real-world tasks unaided, against 42% for OpenClaw, and hands the rest to human assistants.

Wajo, a startup founded by former Google DeepMind engineering lead Shivani Poddar, has launched Fo, an agent that calls, emails and coordinates with businesses to finish everyday tasks, according to the company's site. TestingCatalog posted a launch video on X on Tuesday. Wajo describes Fo as proactive and self-learning rather than a chatbot that waits for prompts.

Fo sends email from its own address rather than as the user, and pays with a single-use card for each purchase, Wajo says. The company says the merchant never sees the user's real card details and Fo does not see them either. Wajo also says Fo signs into websites without storing passwords.

In Wajo's own tests on 104 real-world tasks, Fo completed 71% without help, compared with 42% for OpenClaw, according to the company. It says Fo passed 94% of safety checks, including checks for unauthorised messages or data leaks. No outside group has repeated the tests, and Wajo has not said how it picked the tasks.

When a task needs a person, such as dealing with a barbershop that has no online booking, Fo passes it to one of Wajo's trained human assistants, the company says. Those assistants receive only task-specific information, not the user's full chat history, according to Wajo.

Wajo's site lists a free Fo Mini tier capped at 1,000 tasks a day, an invite-only OG Fo tier with unlimited tasks and call time, and a Pro tier priced through sales. Fo works through email, calendar, Slack, phone and web, the company says.
