Microsoft is preparing discounts of 30% to 50% on corporate Copilot subscriptions, The Information reported on Tuesday. The outlet tied the cuts to a new Copilot "super app" that brings coding tools and AI agents together, according to accounts relaying the report.
The relays do not agree on the figure. Wall St Engine put the range at 30% to 50%. StockSavvyShay put it at about 40% and said it applies to large enterprise customers. First Squawk and Financial Juice carried the headline without a number.
All four accounts rest on the same report, and none of them cites the article's detail. Microsoft has not commented on the pricing, and the paper has not seen The Information's piece. No start date for the discounts appears in any of the summaries.
The Information separately reported that software companies are cutting prices to drive AI adoption, with longer free trials, more AI credits and straight discounts. That piece is about the sector rather than Microsoft, and the outlet did not link the two.
