OpenAI is preparing an always-on agent named Aeon, two accounts that follow the company closely said on Monday. Kol Tregaskes described it as ChatGPT's answer to Grok Bot. Neither account cited a document or an OpenAI statement, and OpenAI has not said that the product exists.
Andrew Curran said the name is Aeon, that OpenAI built it ahead of schedule with help from GPT-Astra, and that he believes it will arrive on Thursday morning. Curran offered the timing as his own belief rather than as something a source had told him.
The two posts sit against agents already shipping. Meta released Muse this month, and SpaceXAI runs Grok Bot, the product Tregaskes named as OpenAI's target. The account MTSlive said on Monday that personal agents are reaching a mainstream audience across all three.
Nothing in either post can be checked against an OpenAI source. The company has not announced an agent by that name, and a date resting on one observer's belief may move. OpenAI has referred to GPT-6 Astra in its own posts, in a note about a customer's video tools.
