Meta drops camera from new $349 Ray‑Bans, puts Muse on glasses

Preorders open on 13 October, TechCrunch says, and Meta said its Muse agent is coming to the glasses too.

Meta said it will sell Ray-Ban Meta Audio, a pair of glasses with no camera, starting at $349. It is the company's first pair of glasses without one, Meta said. Preorders open on 13 October, according to TechCrunch.

TechCrunch, which saw the glasses at Meta's Connect conference on Wednesday, put the weight at 43 grams. Battery life runs to 12 hours, or 48 with the charging case, TechCrunch said. Meta said the frames are its slimmest and thinnest yet, in two styles it calls Clubmaster and Burbank.

Muse, the personal agent Meta launched this month, is coming to the glasses, the company said. A wearer activates it by saying the agent's name. Meta also said Muse agents now get an email address of their own, can drive any app on a Mac, and have gained a real-time voice mode.

Meta showed a second device, Muse Charm, a pocket-sized unit it said carries a real-time voice model for talking to the agent. It gave no price, and said details would follow later in 2026. By the end of the year Meta will offer more than 100 glasses options, spanning Ray-Ban and Oakley frames as well as its own Meta Glasses line. That figure comes from its Connect summary.

Meta said a hearing enhancement feature will cost $149.99, or come with a Meta One subscription. The US Food and Drug Administration cleared it for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss, Meta said. It is a United States feature and arrives later in 2026. The 12-hour battery claim is the company's own, and could not be checked before the glasses ship.
