Amodei and Altman to brief UN Security Council on AI Wednesday

Dario Amodei, Anthropic's chief executive, is due to brief the UN Security Council on Wednesday alongside Sam Altman of OpenAI, Bloomberg said on Tuesday. The meeting is given over to the future of artificial intelligence, according to Bloomberg's account of it.
Reuters has DeepSeek and Moonshot among the companies briefing the council on AI risks and international security during the General Assembly, Techmeme said, citing the Reuters reporter Laurie Chen. The Bloomberg item named just the two American chief executives.
The account choblin29, which describes its item as an exclusive, said DeepSeek will brief the council on Wednesday alongside Altman and representatives it expects Anthropic to send. It said Moonshot has also been invited to speak. That matches what Techmeme attributes to Reuters.
The agenda is AI misuse and advanced models that may slip beyond human control, according to choblin29. Neither the Bloomberg post nor the Reuters summary carried an agenda. The account financialjuice carried Amodei's appearance without naming any other speaker.
Bloomberg also said that AI, the Iran war and the war in Ukraine are likely to dominate the week's talks in New York. None of the accounts said what the council may do after the briefing, and none reported a comment from any of the four companies.
